The EtherCAT Acquisition Library is licensed in the form of runtime licenses per execution system. No distinction is made between the LabVIEW development system and the LabVIEW RunTime system. There is no cost to purchase the library. The activation of the licenses is done either with a license key for a certain system or with a USB dongle for greater flexibility.

There are different levels of expansion of the library that can be combined with additional options. All necessary software modules such as the EtherCAT master and real-time environment are included in the runtime licenses.

Light runtime:

• Maximum of 10 slaves
• Cyclic process data
• CAN over EtherCAT (CoE)

Standard runtime:

• Unlimited number of slaves
• Cyclic process data
• CAN over EtherCAT (CoE)
• Faillsafe over EtherCAT (FSoE)
• Access slave memory
• Access slave EEPROM

Advanced runtime:
